Usually, the heat from the sun causes the water molecules in the liquid or solid material to heat up and change into a gaseous state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Condensation<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Condensation is actually the opposite of evaporation. Condensation occurs when water vapor in airborne molecules of the gas change back into a liquid state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Precipitation<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Precipitation occurs when the atmosphere accumulates too much water. When the air gets too heavy with these water molecules, they fall to the earth in the form of snow, rain, or sleet &#8211; all depending on the temperature of the atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accumulation<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Accumulation is what happens when the precipitation falls to the earth.
