The Worldwide Institute recently published a list of <b><i>simple things you can do today to help reduce your environmental impact, save money, and live a happier, healthier life.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Recycle<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is little excuse these days.\u00a0 Most local municipalities offer some type of pick-up or drop off service.<\/li>\n<li>Check for specific items including plastics, paper, glass, aluminum at the minimum.<\/li>\n<li>Keep electronics out of the trash as well, such as cell phones, computers and other E-waste.\u00a0 These products contain mercury and other toxins which are a growing environmental danger. Donate them or find a recycling center.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.filtersfast.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/recycle-electronics.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-17225 alignright\" alt=\"recycle-green\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filtersfast.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/recycle-electronics-150x150.jpg\" width=\"134\" height=\"128\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Eat and drink smarter<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buy local, organic meat, eggs, dairy and produce.\u00a0 Visit your local farmers\u2019 markets.<\/li>\n<li>Eat \u201clow\u201d on the food chain so as to not deplete resources.\u00a0 Seafood, for example, has become highly over fished leading to a dangerously low supply of certain species.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t buy bottled water when there are so many water filtration alternatives that allow you to save money and reduce container waste. There are so many small things we can do that will have a positive impact.
