It\u2019s a shame that the solution to this problem for many people is \u201cI\u2019m not drinking tap water anymore, I\u2019m using just bottled water!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, good luck with that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unless you were going to use bottled water to drink, cook, bathe, brush your teeth <i>and<\/i> wash dishes then I don\u2019t think you have much of a solution (which is more like avoiding a problem rather than solving it).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Truthfully, there is a way to reduce this problem from your tap water without spending a fortune and using costly bottled water as an alternative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The solution is filters (an Earth-shattering revelation for sure). But let\u2019s dive a little deeper into it, shall we?<\/p>\n<p><strong>First, understand what causes smelly drinking water<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What causes smelly drinking water and bad tasting drinking water are often the same things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dissolved solids which often cause a musty odor<\/li>\n<li>Hydrogen Sulfide which produces the rotten egg smell<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mercury, lead, iron, and arsenic are often responsible for the metallic taste and smells<\/li>\n<li>Chlorine used in municipal water treatment processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Second, decide which filter(s) you should use<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/filter.filtersfast.com\/search?w=carbon+filters&amp;asug=&amp;view=list&amp;submit1.x=0&amp;submit1.y=0\" target=\"_blank\">Carbon filters<\/a> are the best bet. However, depending on the application, the type of filter you need could vary.
