Each year, FiltersFast.com’s Founder and CEO, Ray, challenges himself mentally and physically as he hikes 30.1 miles of the Appalachian Trail.

Ray has participated in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Xtreme Hike for the Cure every year since 2013. In 2018, we were able to raise $27,899 to help fight CF! With the support of amazing vendors, our customers and partners, we were able to reach our goal of $30,000+ for the 2019 hike.

Personally, the hike always proves challenging and training is a critical part of the hike…it is a huge time commitment, but nothing compared to the time those with CF have to spend on treatments every day. I am inspired by other hikers who have CF or have family members that have CF and am excited to help them all move closer to the day that CF stands for Cure Found! My 11 year old grandson has CF, and we walk every year. The first Great Strides walk we attended was on his first birthday.
