Although we’ve come a long way since the Flint Michigan Water Crisis of 2014, lead in water continues to be a problem in Canada and even a few cities in the US. As we mentioned in our blog about How Do You Know if Your Water Has Lead? lead in water can cause serious health problems for both children and adults.
Did you know? The EPA estimates that drinking water can make up 20% or more of a person’s total exposure to lead. Infants who consume mostly mixed formula can receive 40 to 60% of their exposure to lead from drinking water.
That’s why it’s more important than ever to know that the water you are drinking is safe for both you and your family.
If you believe your water might have lead in it, you should have your water tested.
