Now, more than ever, breathing in clean air is of utmost importance. As COVID-19 rates continue to rise, it seems as though face masks will become part of our everyday lives for the foreseeable future.
The CDC recommends covering your nose and mouth with a cloth face cover when other people are around as a way to help protect yourself from the spread of COVID-19.
As part of our ongoing effort to give you the knowledge and tools you need to live a healthier life, we have partnered with RZ, an air filtration mask company. RZ makes high-quality, reusable air filtration masks that block 99.9% of particulates down to .1 micron.
Mask ratings explained:
When a mask displays N95, this means that it is a particulate-filtering facepiece that meets the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) N95 classification of air filtration. The N95 rating means that the mask will filter at least 95% of airborne particles.
Similar to N95, when a mask displays N99, this means it meets NIOSH’s N99 classification of air filtration and will filter at least 99% of airborne particles.
*Please note: RZ Mask filters have been tested by Nelson Laboratories in Salt Lake City, UT and meet N95 and N99 standards, but have not yet been NIOSH approved. To learn more about the RZ masks testing, click here.
RZ Masks M1, M2, and M2.5 face masks will only filter the air being breathed in and not being breathed out. This means that the mask will only provide protection to the person wearing the mask and will not protect those around you from the spread of infection. For RZ masks to be effective against airborne pathogens, the mask must be washed with sterilizing soap and have the filter replaced after each wear.
RZ masks are ideal for woodworkers, construction workers, dirt biking, yard work, and more!
We can’t say enough good things about RZ masks, here are just a few of the amazing features of these high-quality safety masks:

Whether you already own an RZ Mask or are planning to purchase one, a growing number of cities and counties in the U.S. are banning face masks with exhalation valves because these valves allow droplets to escape the mask and can put others nearby at risk.
The RZ Mask Exhalation Valve Caps is the answer to this restriction. These caps do not allow any air to pass through – forcing your exhaled breath back through the mask filter. This design helps to prevent the spread of airborne particulates or germs to those around you in tight indoor spaces.
RZ Valve Caps are available in blue and black.
